ARCHIVE
A collection of projects developed throughout my degree, exploring sustainable design, material experimentation and process-led practice. My creative practice is shaped by my sustainable values, specifically in transparency and storytelling. Sustainability is central to my work through approaches such as remaking, repair, reuse, and material-led design to challenge the traditional linear fashion model. Transparency is important to me as a way of making my process visible and allowing the research, making, and process behind a garment to be shared honestly and reflectively. Central to my beliefs is that transparency and storytelling are what add value to garments, as they give context and meaning to my work.
Garment For Life
For this project, I explored the concept of creating a garment for life, my design strategy being size adaptability and modularity. This project developed my research skills, critical analysis, and concept development, as well as enhancing my ability to work innovatively and collaboratively. It was also crucial to the development of my pattern cutting and garment construction knowledge, supported by creative problem-solving and sustainable design thinking.

Behind the seams
A video documentation of the process behind my Garment for Life project, exploring the topics of my design and construction process, sustainability within the fashion industry, and celebrating clothing made to last a lifetime.
Zero Waste Design & Construction
Platform1 x Barbour
This project significantly developed my pattern-cutting skills and understanding. Specifically in zero-waste pattern cutting and layplanning. It also developed my creative problem-solving, circular understanding, construction skills, innovation in design, digital and hand designing skills. Promoting innovation and originality.

Alternative Fabrications

This project was design-based, focused on alternative fabrications - using industry waste materials. It explored cross-industry material sharing as a solution for waste management, from which I created an innovative design using plastic carrier bags and surplus lifejackets. It developed my contextual and visual research skills and environmental awareness, alongside networking skills, as I collaborated with external businesses to source my waste materials.
